Description
Welcome to the SureHire Respirator Fit Tester Training course. This course will give you the tools you need to complete quantitative and qualitative respirator fit testing in accordance with CSA standards (CAN/CSA-Z94.4-18).

Upon completion of this course, you will be able too:
  • Describe the requirements for the use of respiratory protection
  • Identify respirator components and their individual functions
  • Organize the workspace to accommodate a respirator fit test
  • Confirm the user pre-qualifications for respirator fit testing
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative respirator fit tests in accordance with the best practice standards.
  • Conduct a comfort assessment in accordance with the best practice standards


This course will take approximately 2.5 hours for students to complete.
Students must complete an end-of-course certification exam and achieve a passing grade of at least 80% to be awarded a certificate. 
Students will receive a maximum of 3 attempts to pass the exam.

    Good overall but a few bugs need to be worked out. I didn't like the numbered learning objectives how you had to click on each number. Sometimes my mouse would miss the number and it would go to the next page so I had to go back to see the learning objectives. Would rather it just be on the first sheet with the objectives spoken out loud by the narrator. Found quite a few spelling errors and on unit 2 lesson 1 the lesson objectives numbers are needing some fixing when you click on #2. The test at the end had some questions that weren't in the material, must have come from the PDF of the CSA form? Not sure if it is expected to read through all that, but I did not. Good to have to refer to, but not expected to read through it!

    Very in depth information regarding all types of testing. Was really cool to learn about irritant smoke and banana oil testing even though we don't typically do them in clinic.

    I had to repeat a couple of modules because it did not recognize that I had completed them already. It also said i did the test 3 times when I did not. Other than that it was fine.

    Course material was great. How the course "worked" online was horrible. Leaving the course and returning at a later time was very frustrating and wasted a lot of my time. Course navigation isn't always clear. For example, the "Next" button is always highlighted but not always the next button in sequence. When the "Next" button is chosen in error (which happens a lot because it is highlighted and draws the eye) it is impossible to go back one step. I was half way through the course before I finally learned how to navigate it. Just a miserable process!!!!!
